High density mobile shelving increases space utilization by up to 200% in offices with significantly less space required than a traditional static shelving.
Our standard mobile shelving system is mounted to a mobile base that glides along a track which is installed on site. The track is mounted flush to the floor and has a very small profile to ensure that there is not a tripping hazard. Ball bearing wheels on the mobile base roll extremely easily on the track, allowing for the mobile shelves to be moved by hand. The mobile shelving base features an anti-tip device and brakes to keep the unit from unintentional movement.
Mobile Racking Storage Systems are extremely compact and 100% accessible. They are similar to Selective Racking systems only the racking is on wheels that move along floor rails. Each racking shelf remains compacted until they are required to be accessed. With a press of a button, which can be remotely controlled, electric motors move the Mobile Racking as needed to creating an aisle space in between two racking blocks so that access to pallets can be obtained. No specialized handling equipment required.
Mobile shelving/racking should be used if you have limited space for storage, have high land costs. It is ideal for cold room and freezer storage.
Disadvantages of mobile shelving/racking include the relative high initial capital cost, the limited storage height, and the limit of aisle access to one or two aisles at the same time.
Mobile systems can be made using the Super 1-2-3, Super 4-5-6, Unicant, SuperBuild or UniBuild product lines.
